I believe John Denver said it best,
"Well a simple kinda life never did me no harm
A raisin' me a family and workin' on a farm
My days are all filled with an easy country charm
Thank God I'm a country boy"
So here's a short glimpse , very short, of life as we know at Miss Mable's Farmhouse.
Here's my husband, on left, with his dad discussing about this year's garden.
Strawberry and blueberries plants arrive for spring planting.
Taken in 2018, here's Miss Gizzy Kitty hanging out with Donna in the old hen house.
We gather our eggs daily. Aren't they beautiful!
Farming for us is not just a way of life, it is daily adventure. For when you live and work on a farm, each day is never the same.
One day you may have to help deliver a newborn calf in freezing snow and bring the little fella home to become part of the family.
Another day may bring joy of picking strawberries with a neighbor.
Of course, Bleu just had to help too.
Another day, your husband may have to spend a day out in the field baling hay with the help of neighbors.
And then there's those absolutely beautiful days of kicking back on the front porch looking over my determination and hard work of turning a steep slope into a herb and garden greens country path. (More pics and full story coming!)
Thank God we are a country family!
